\(\textit{rbc}\)L DNA region revealed as the best DNA barcode for identification of \(\textit{Mahonia}\) and \(\textit{Berberis}\) species (Berberidaceae)

Berberidaceae contains 17 genera and nearly 650 species, in which the genus Berberis Mahonia are sisters with a very close relationship share many similar characteristics. In past, two were merged into Berberis. At present, is at risk prioritized for conservation, especially species of fact, identification based on morphology parts sale (such as roots, stems, leaves) without reproductive organs (flowers fruits) impossible. recent years, molecular biology techniques being applied widely effectively research evolution, classification genetic diversity populations. Study DNA has highly accurate particularly useful closely related morphological observations not sufficient to distinguish. Results from analysis allow authentic populations or individuals un-intact specimens accurately especially, it affected by objective factors such environment human. this study, we assessed taxonomy ability three commonly barcoding regions used including rbcL, trnH-psbA ITS2 12 samples family, 7 Mahonia, 4 one sample Epimedium was control sample. The results study will contribute selection suitable barcode samples. demonstrated that rbcL region showed most obvious distinguish species. sequences julianeae bealei Vietnam submitted GenBank accession numbers MT073031 MT008067, respectively. sequence also number MT457415.1.
